I met little Miss Ivy’s mom about a year ago in an online support group

for parents and babies who have Gastroschisis.

She was somewhat local to me and needed someone to talk to.

As did I.

We spent weeks messaging back and forth from the NICUs across the state from one another,

as our little warrior girls fought like crazy to make it through the first few weeks of their lives.

Ivy was in the hospital for 6 weeks and 1 day. She has recently had another surgery due to complications from the condition.

But, just like her mommy, Ivy is strong and pulled through remarkably.

Last weekend, my own little gastro-princess got to meet her new friend.

They hit it right off!!
