I am sure you have seen a boudoir session or two
or know someone who has had one done.
Hell, you may have had one done yourself!
Boudoir is one of my most favorite things to shoot.
But, I do it a little different.
And here is why.
Boudoir is more than just a pretty picture of yourself in some fancy lingerie.
Its about sex.
Looking sexy.
Feeling sexy.
Letting your inner sexual being out.
Every boudoir photographer will tell you that they LOVE this kind of photography, because they want to empower women.
Awesome.
Me too.
But not in the way they are.
I’m different.
I do things differently.
I do them my way.
I want to empower you to unleash your sexual lioness.
Women are constantly shamed for their bodies.
We start feeling inadequate from the second we are old enough to take notice of physical appearances.
We are not pretty enough.
Tan enough.
Light enough.
Skinny enough.
We have too many freckles.
Our hair isn’t nice and straight.
Our teeth aren’t perfect.
The list goes on and on.
Every time we watch TV or get on Facebook- we are quickly reminded just what we are NOT.
Boudoir is most certainly NOT about the before and after pictures, either.
(I think that kind of defeats the purpose of their mission to promote “body positivity and self love”, right?)
Heres how I do it differently:
I am going to tell you what you ARE.
I am going to push your limits.
I am going to challenge you to do something different.
After all, nothing amazing has ever come out of staying in your comfort zone.
I’m not here to make you not even look like yourself with crazy editing and hair and makeup.
I am not here to be your cheerleader.
I’m not here to pat you on the back and try to convince you just how beautiful you are.
My boudoir sessions are not for that.
I already know you are beautiful. You already know you are. As much as you want to deny it.
I don’t need to tell you that. I don’t need to remind you of it.
Us women are taught not to be sexual beings.
To be modest and guarded.
To be proper and well behaved.
I say, FUCKKKKK THAT.
I am going to show you how to reach deep down and find that inner sexual flame that you have been told and preconditioned your whole life to lock away.
The part of us we are often too shy to share or admit is there, out of fear of rejection and the thoughts of how we will be judged.
I am going to introduce you to a side of yourself that has always been there- you may have just been too timid to try and find it.
Am I shooting porn? abso-fucking-lutely not.
But, I am going to show you just how much of a bad ass you really are.
My boudoir sessions:
Leave just enough to the imagination.
That will leave anyone who sees these pictures- begging for more.
