Do you believe in ghosts? | Detroit, MI

Do you believe in ghosts?

All of us in the wedding industry sure do. And I’m not talking about the ones that are dressed in a white sheet and say “BOO!”. Not the ones we heard about in stories around the campfire as children or watch movies about.

But they are just as terrifying.

And they are REAL. You cannot meet someone who works in the wedding industry who does not run into at least one ghost a week.

What on earth am I talking about?!

I am talking about the people who inquire about our services and then after we send a well thought out and polite reply they disappear into thin air. Never to be heard from again. As if they never existed.

Now we know we are not going to book every inquiry. We know we are not for everyone. We fully understand that people are working with budgets and we just might fit theirs. We get that our style may not be for everyone.

But what I think a lot of people don’t understand is that there is a person on the other end of that email you sent. A real live person.

I would like to think that you wouldn’t walk up to a person who works in a store and ask how much something was, then once you got an answer you just turn and walk away. No response. No acknowledgment. Nothing.

This is our business. We are not a billion dollar corporation that could are less about your customer service experience. We want to make sure you are taken care of. You are more than just a number in our quarterly reports.

We do care. And if we are not a good fit for you or are above your budget- let us know! We would be more than happy to help you find someone who is. We give out referrals quite regularly, you would be surprised just how close knit the wedding industry is. Or we would even be willing to work with you on your budget.

It literally takes 5 seconds to respond. To be kind. To let us know.

Even if you decided to go with someone else- just let us know. We won’t be offended. We would actually be grateful that you were able to find what you were looking for!

Don’t be a ghost. Please and thank you!
