A micro-wedding and how you can still get married in 2020

Did COVID-19 mess with your wedding plans?

Do you still want to get married this year?

Like a “get married now and throw the party later” type thing.

How can you do that?

There is this thing called a micro-wedding. Meaning its bit larger than an elopement and smaller than a full-blown wedding. There is also a little bit more “planning” with a micro-wedding vs an elopement.

With a more intentional guest list (its a great excuse to cut off your moms coworkers or your dads drinking buddies) of around 25-30 people. A smaller venue. Less decor. Over all more time to spend with the people you love and want to be around. What’s not to love about it?

Micro-weddings also have the flexibility to be hosted on days other than just Saturdays. Since they are smaller- Friday’s and Sunday’s are perfect for them!! Even days during the week.

This is an awesome way to still get married to the love of your life. Keep all of your amazing vendors. Have a beautiful smaller wedding. And celebrate with family and friends.

I had a micro-wedding on a Sunday myself! In our friend’s living room. It started out as an elopement but having 7 brothers and sisters and all of my nieces and nephews. The guest list grew and its was ONLY immediate family!! hahaha.

It was so nice and relaxing. We did things our way. We didn’t have to worry about a packed time line. Rushing around. We were able just go with the flow and it was glorious. We got to spend time with each and every person we invited. We got to enjoy our day with one another.

We did a “first shot” right after our first look with a special bottle of vodka.

I know many of you have grown up dreaming of your wedding day. And this is not what you had in mind- a global pandemic.

But keep your chin up! We can still make this happen. You can still get married. Just maybe not the original way you had planned.

If you have lost vendors due to a reschedule here is a list of people and their availability for the remainder of 2020!!!

Keep in mind that with the overwhelming number of reschedules the more “prime” dates later in the year like 10/10 have been booked for a lllloooooonnnnngggggggg time. So, please don’t get discouraged when they are not available. Be open to weekday dates as well as Fridays and Sundays.

These are crazy times we are living in. So lets do something crazy and different. Plus, what a story to tell!!!
