-Just how traditional can a Girl with Tattoos be?- |Detroit, MI Wedding Photographer|

Ok, so I know what you all (or most of you) are thinking.

So I will just come right and say it:

“My wedding is in a church and is traditional. So, just how traditional can a girl with tattoos be?”

orrrrrrr

“My family is very traditional/we are very traditional.”

Well……

The answer is quite simple, I can be VERY traditional.

I have attended MANY weddings and have participated in MANY tradiations.

From having to have my head covered in a Muslim temple to

To having to wear long sleeves and my shoulders covered in a catholic church and every where in between.

I was raised in a lutheran turned pentecostal home.

My father was a pastor.

I was homeschooled, could only wear dresses, no music other than christian, no tv, pretty nothing but church.

When it comes to being able to be traditional and having respect for other practices- I got you covered.

Cultures is one of my favorite things about this country.

I LOVE that we are a melting pot and there are so many different practices around us.

Despite my “sheltered” upbringing we were immersed in MANY cultures and met so many people it was a huge blessing.

Traditions make me curious. Though I  may not understand a lot of them, I am respectful and always wanting to learn about them.

Traditions are what makes us unique. What connect us to our home and past.

Though I may not “look” traditional I sure can be.

Not all of my wedding photos I deliver are candid or fun.

I do make sure that your parents and grandparents get the traditional “prom pose” picture to hang up and show everyone.

I make sure we get the family formals, especially with your older family members.

To me, those are just as important as to the fun ones.

Diversity, inclusion, tradition, and love is what I deliver.

Not one kind of love is less important than another.

Not one type of tradition is less exciting as another.

Not one type of family is less embraced or accepted as another.

As for being a girl with tattoos-

I keep just enough tradition to make everyone happy.
